Appellant was indicted by a grand jury for the offense of murder. Appellant's first trial resulted in a mistrial. In his second trial, appellant entered a plea of not guilty before the jury. He was convicted of the lesser offense of voluntary manslaughter, and the jury assessed punishment at twenty years' confinement.
