Appellant, Tony L. Borchardt, was convicted of murder in the first degree in Hennepin County District Court. He appeals his conviction on the grounds that he was denied his constitutional right to present a defense — he sought to admit expert testimony that he suffered from "male sexual victimization" syndrome and that, as a result of the syndrome, he was sufficiently provoked to reduce the offense in this case from first-degree murder to manslaughter...
