Donald Gene Burleson, following his plea of not guilty, was convicted by a jury of the offense of harmful access to a computer pursuant to the 1985 version of TEX. PENAL CODE sec. 33.03. Act of June 14, 1985, 69th Leg., R.S., ch. 600, 1985 Tex. Gen.Laws 2246-47, amended by Act of June 14, 1989, 71st Leg., R.S., ch. 306, 1989 Tex.Gen.Laws 1265-68. The court assessed punishment at seven years probated and $11,800 in restitution...
