After a jury trial the Superior Court (York County, Brodrick, J.) convicted defendant Norman G. Kehling of arson, 17-A M.R.S.A. § 802 (Supp.1991), and sentenced him to 40 years, the maximum term of imprisonment for that Class A offense.
