Appellant American Bankers Insurance Company ("ABI"), the surety on the appearance bond of Kenneth McFarlane, appeals the trial court's denial of ABI's motion to reconsider the forfeiture of McFarlane's bond that was invoked when McFarlane failed to appear for trial. ABI contends that it should not be liable on the forfeited bond for two reasons. First, ABI asserts that it did not receive notice of the forfeiture until nearly thirteen months...
