Defendant, along with Joseph Jamison, was indicted for the second degree murder of Elton Rainey on August 19, 1988. Defendant pleaded not guilty and his motions to suppress the evidence and his confession were denied. Following a bench trial, defendant was found guilty of manslaughter.
