CUDAHY, Circuit Judge.

The dispute at the center of this litigation is not about why Stanton Todd was fired by Corporate Life Insurance Co. but about when. Todd had a clause in his employment contract allowing him six months written notice prior to termination. Corporate Life believed its correspondence with Todd gave that notice, and so it ceased paying his salary. Apparently the company could have been more direct. Claiming he never got the message...
