In this case, we consider the scope of section 523(a)(2) of the Bankruptcy Code, which bars discharge of a debt for money or property obtained by fraud. At issue is whether that section excepts from discharge punitive damages as well as actual damages. Wilson Palmer appeals from the decision of the Bankruptcy Appellate Panel ("BAP") affirming the bankruptcy court's finding that the punitive damages portion of a judgment Palmer had obtained...
