Defendant, Darryl G. Brazil, (hereinafter defendant), was convicted on July 20, 1989, by a jury of one count of burglary in the first degree, one count of assault in the first degree and one count of armed criminal action. After being found to be a prior offender, the defendant was sentenced on August 17, 1989, to a fifteen year term of imprisonment for the burglary count to be served concurrently with a thirty year term of imprisonment...
