Defendant was convicted of possession of cocaine, a violation of LSA-R.S. 40:967(C), and was sentenced to four years at hard labor.

While on patrol in a marked police car in an area of New Orleans associated with numerous complaints of drug-trafficking, two officers came upon a car parked in the middle of the street.
