This appeal arises out of the trial court's denial of the plaintiff's motion for a continuance.

Barbara Thompson, as administratrix of the estate of Lemon Works, filed a wrongful death action against Carraway Methodist Medical Center on March 4, 1982, alleging that the death of Lemon Works was the result of medical negligence on the part of the hospital. Works had died on September 28, 1980, as a result of a right subdural hematoma...
