Derrick Quinton White murdered Victor Joseph Furst on 14 August 1981, during an attempt to rob Furst. In 1982, White was convicted of murder and related offenses by a jury in the Circuit Court for Baltimore County, and sentenced to death. This Court affirmed the conviction and sentence. White v.
