Following a jury trial, defendant George McClellan was convicted of the offense of criminal sexual assault (Ill.Rev.Stat.1989, ch. 38, par. 12-13(a)(1)). Defendant was sentenced to a term of eight years' imprisonment with credit for time served, and appeals the conviction and sentence imposed. Defendant alleges the trial court improperly permitted (1) reference to the fact that defendant took a polygraph examination...
