This is an appeal by a New Orleans police officer from an order of the Civil Service Commission dismissing his appeal from the order of his appointing authority discharging him from the civil service.

Appellant was employed as a police officer on May 31, 1987. He was charged with violating traffic laws and police policies on March 25, 1989, by speeding in a police car which resulted in an accident causing over $4,000 of damage. He was...
