Appellant entered a plea of not guilty before the jury to the offense of aggravated sexual assault. See generally Tex.Penal Code Ann. § 22.021 (Vernon 1989). Appellant was convicted and the jury assessed punishment at confinement in the Institutional Division of the Texas Department of Criminal Justice for life and a fine of $10,000.
