Justice O'CONNOR delivered the opinion of the court:

Defendant David Earnest appeals from his conviction for the murder (Ill.Rev.Stat. 1985, ch. 38, par. 9-1) of Herman Walker for which he was sentenced to a prison term of 20 years.

We affirm.
