This is an appeal from the Circuit Court of Panola County, before which the appellant, Robert L. Govan, Jr. ("Govan") was convicted of the sale of cocaine on April 24, 1990. On April 27, 1990, the court sentenced him to a term of twenty years imprisonment, twelve years suspended and five years under supervision of the Mississippi Department of Corrections with terms and conditions, and a $5,000.00 fine, plus court costs.
