Defendant, Aaron E. Bier, was convicted by a jury of reckless homicide (Ill.Rev.Stat. 1989, ch. 38, par. 9-3) and sentenced to five years in the Department of Corrections. Defendant was also ordered to pay restitution of $64,775.82 by July 1, 1998.
