OPINION ON STATE'S PETITION FOR DISCRETIONARY REVIEW

TEAGUE, Judge.

Dearing E. Jones, henceforth appellant, was convicted of felony theft by the verdict of a jury returned on May 10, 1982. His punishment was assessed by the trial judge at confinement in the penitentiary for a period of ten years, but imposition of sentence was suspended and he was placed on adult probation. A written judgment reflecting these events was entered on August 9, 1982...
