OPINION

BURGESS, Justice.

Appellant was convicted, in a consolidated trial, of the offenses of possession of the controlled substances phenylacetone in an amount in excess of 400 grams and methamphetamine in an amount less than 28 grams. The jury assessed punishment at ninety-nine years' confinement in the Texas Department of Corrections and a $100,000 fine and twenty years' confinement in the Texas Department of Corrections and a $10,000 fine, respectively...
