OPINION

ROTH, District Judge.

Defendant, Adam Renfroe, was convicted on June 12, 1986, of bribing a witness in violation of 18 U.S.C. § 201(d) and obstruction of justice in violation of 18 U.S.C. § 1503. At the sentencing hearing on July 28, 1986, the issue of Renfroe's competency at the time of trial and sentencing was raised for the first time. The court denied Renfroe's motion to conduct a competency hearing, pursuant to 18 U.S.C. § 4241...
