Maryland Code (1982), § 4-302(b)(1) of the Health-General Article (HG)1 commands:

(1) Except as otherwise provided in this subsection,[2] a facility shall comply within a reasonable time after a person in interest requests, in writing: (i) To receive a copy of a medical record; or (ii) To see and copy the medical record.
