On September 29, 1989, Samuel J. Grenz filed this action in the District Court of the Eleventh Judicial District, Flathead County, Montana, alleging that attorney Michael C. Prezeau had negligently represented him in connection with his workers' compensation claim. Grenz further alleged that attorney Terry N.
