Defendant, State Farm Mutual Automobile Insurance Company (hereafter State Farm), appeals a judgment of the trial court awarding plaintiff damages in the amount of $7,447.24. State Farm was cast in judgment as plaintiff's UM carrier. Plaintiff, Carrie C. Pourteau, answered State Farm's appeal seeking an increase in the award to $10,000.00, State Farm's policy limits.1
