TURNER, Justice.

The appellant, Wilfredo Gonzales, was convicted of two counts of delivery of a controlled substance (cocaine) and sentenced to life imprisonment and a $25,000 fine on each charge. On appeal he contends that the trial court committed reversible error in denying his pretrial motion for a continuance and in refusing to exclude testimony revealing the confiscation of a gun and $710 in cash at the time of the arrest.
