CAPPY, Justice.

Robert Bricker was sentenced to death for his role in the conspiracy to murder Thomas Sacco. The sentence is reversed and the case remanded for a new trial.1 Our disposition of this case is necessitated by the fact that the trial court committed two errors, either of which would require reversal.
