Petitioner/defendant County of Los Angeles (the County) moved for a protective order and to disqualify the attorney of plaintiff/real party in interest Alfredo Ruiz Hernandez (plaintiff). The County sought to prevent plaintiff from designating the County's formerly designated expert witness as his expert witness and to remove plaintiff's counsel.
