Horne was rendered a paraplegic as a result of an injury sustained while driving an insured vehicle during the course of his employment for New Mexico Security Patrol, Inc. (NMSP). A negligent underinsured motorist caused Horne's injury. NMSP had insured five company vehicles with United States Fidelity & Guaranty Company (USF & G). Each vehicle had uninsured motorist coverage.
