Following a bench trial in January, 1989, defendant was convicted on two counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct, MCL 750.520b; MSA 28.788(2). Later, the trial judge vacated defendant's convictions and granted defendant youthful trainee status under the youthful trainee act, MCL 762.11 MSA 28.853(11).
