This is an appeal from a conviction of armed robbery and a ninety-nine year sentence.

The defendant, Michael Carter, was charged by bill of information filed on May 2, 1989 with two counts of armed robbery, LSA-R.S. 14:64. He pled not guilty at arraignment on May 31, 1989 and proceeded to trial on September 12, 1989 on count two. At the conclusion of trial the jury returned a verdict of guilty as charged; a motion for new trial was denied....
