Calvin Patterson sustained personal injuries while employed by Opelika Foundry Company, Inc. ("the Foundry"). He subsequently filed a complaint in Lee County Circuit Court, seeking compensation under the Workmen's Compensation Act, Ala. Code 1975, § 25-5-1 et seq.
