Defendant, who was charged with murder in the first degree, robbery with a dangerous weapon, and conspiracy, was convicted by a jury on all charges at the 6 June 1988 Special Criminal Session of the Superior Court of Hertford County, the Honorable James A. Beaty, Jr. presiding. Following defendant's convictions, Judge Beaty entered judgment and sentenced defendant to life in prison for the murder.
