John Bowers was tried by jury and was found guilty of aggravated assault and carrying a firearm on a public street. Post-trial motions were denied, and Bowers was sentenced to serve consecutive terms of imprisonment for not less than ten (10) years nor more than twenty (20) years for aggravated assault and for not less than two and one-half (2 1/2) years nor more than five (5) years on the firearms...
