Johnson appeals his conviction for trafficking in cocaine, OCGA § 16-13-31 (a) (1). Defendant was indicted on April 20, 1988, for knowingly bringing into the state and actually possessing 96.6 grams of cocaine on March 24, 1988, in violation of OCGA § 16-13-31 (a) (1), which was amended effective March 28, to delete the requirement of "actual" possession. Johnson contends that the trial court erred in refusing to direct a verdict of acquittal...
