The plaintiff, Edward Kellan, was a civil service firefighter for the City of Park Ridge (City). He filed a claim with the defendant, Board of Trustees of the Firemen's Pension Fund of the City of Park Ridge (Board), for duty-related disability which would entitle him to a pension of 65% of his salary. After a hearing the Board agreed that he was unable to perform the duties of a firefighter...
