Paul A. Thomas (Claimant) was employed for approximately two years as a sixth-grade teacher at St. James School, an elementary school which is owned and operated by St. James Church, a parish of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Greensburg. For reasons not relevant here, Claimant was informed early in the summer of 1989 that his teaching contract was not going to be renewed for the 1990 school year. Claimant filed for unemployment compensation benefits...
