CIACCIO, Judge.

Defendant Reginald A. Green, Jr., was charged on June 8, 1988, by bill of information with a violation of La.R.S. 40:967, distribution of cocaine. He was arraigned on June 13, 1988, and plead not guilty. At trial on January 24, 1989, a twelve member jury found the defendant guilty as charged. Mr. Green was sentenced on April 5, 1989, to ten years at hard labor. He now appeals, arguing the trial court erred in imposing an excessive sentence.
