DUFRESNE, Judge.

The defendant, Edward C. Hayes was charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon in violation of LSA-R.S. 14:95.1. The defendant waived his right to a jury and the trial proceeded before the judge and he was found guilty. He was sentenced to serve three years imprisonment at hard labor, without benefit of parole, probation or suspension of sentence.
