Lloyd S. McIntosh was convicted by jury of possession of marijuana while imprisoned in a penal institution in violation of Code § 53.1-203(6). On appeal, McIntosh argues that the trial court erred by denying his motion to dismiss for lack of a speedy trial and that the evidence was insufficient to support the jury's finding that he was guilty of possession of marijuana.
