This appeal is from a default judgment in a suit on a promissory note.

The plaintiff, Mark D. Solomon, confirmed a preliminary default against Craig Heyward on June 22, 1989, in the amount of $15,000 plus interest from September, 1988 until paid, plus 10% attorney's fees and costs. After his motion for new trial was denied, the defendant filed a suspensive appeal.
