Esteban Delgado was indicted and convicted of the first-degree murder of Joe King in violation of section 782.04, Florida Statutes (1987). He was sentenced to life in prison with a twenty-five year minimum mandatory term. Delgado contends that the trial court erred in admitting evidence suggestive of other crimes, in denying a motion to reopen the defense case to present evidence of self-defense, and in denying a requested jury instruction on self...
