Following a jury trial, defendant, Michael Cook, was convicted of murder (Ill. Rev. Stat. 1983, ch. 38, par. 9-1(a)(1)) and attempted armed robbery (Ill. Rev. Stat. 1983, ch. 38, pars. 8-4, 18-2) and was sentenced to concurrent prison terms of 25 and 10 years, respectively.
