The White Plains law firm partnership of Greenspan & Aurnou was dissolved on April 29, 1977. The two principal parties' professional relationship had commenced 13 years earlier. In March 1977, one month before plaintiff departed, the Domain case (which was Greenspan's matter) was settled for $1.8 million. By its retainer, the firm was entitled to an hourly rate plus one third of amounts collected in excess of $1.2 million. At the same time, prior to plaintiff's withdrawal...
