Defendant, Brenda Davis, was indicted for two counts of aggravated sexual assault and two counts of murder, second degree, for events occurring between August 23 and August 25, 1985 when she and codefendant James Davis inflicted injuries on Elizabeth Schlitt which eventually caused her death.
