Plaintiff, John Parker, brought suit against Boise Southern Company and Boise Cascade Corporation (collectively Boise) for damages for personal injuries sustained when he fell during the course and scope of his employment with Williams Contracting Maintenance Services, Inc. (Williams) at Boise's paper mill in DeRidder, Louisiana. Williams' worker's compensation insurer, Home Indemnity Company, intervened in the suit to recover benefits paid to plaintiff...
