This appeal arises from the plaintiff's action to recover payment due for legal services rendered to the defendant. The defendant alleged as a special defense that the parties had entered into an accord, by which the defendant agreed to pay the plaintiff the sum of $17,400 and the plaintiff agreed, in return, to deliver to the defendant a general release from all claims.
