SHELLEY, Judge.

Appellant Michael Patrick Lammie (defendant) was charged with four counts of sexual assault. He later pled guilty to two amended counts of attempted sexual assault, class 3 felonies, pursuant to a plea agreement which advised him that he would be required to register as a sex offender. At sentencing, defendant for the first time stated "that on an attempted crime, that it is inappropriate to require the registration as a sex offender...
