Locke Smith was charged with possession of firearms by a convicted felon in violation of § 62.1-02-01, N.D.C.C. Smith entered a conditional plea of guilty, pursuant to Rule 11(a)(2), N.D.R.Crim.P., reserving the right to appeal the district court's denial of his motion to suppress the firearms as evidence.
