WHICHARD, Justice.

Defendant was convicted of murder in the first degree in a non-capital trial. The trial court imposed a sentence of life imprisonment. Of the three errors alleged, we find none prejudicial.

Evidence presented by the State tended to show that on Saturday evening, 6 June 1987, a number of patrons convened at the Royal Flush, a private club in Fayetteville. Among them were defendant and his wife and their friends, the Locklears and the Flints...
