We granted the state's petition for review to consider whether a father may be convicted of kidnapping his own child. Additionally, we address the issue raised in defendant's cross-petition for review whether, if the kidnapping conviction is viable, the court properly imposed consecutive sentences for kidnapping and child abuse.
